Knowing Your Personality Colors Workshop
Do you know your Colors? That is, do you know your “go-to” behavioral styles and your ways of making
sense of the world—which also impact the ways you tend to speak and interact with others?
Others already know how you tend to lead and interact with those around you—why not know that
about yourself too?
The first step is to complete the Understanding Yourself and Others Personality Profile (otherwise
known as the Colors Exercise) which Pastor Scott will supply. It is a simple pencil and paper instrument.
As we all know, relational health and awareness are at the heart of a Christ-centered healthy home and
congregation.
The Workshop
During the workshop Pastor Scott will lead your group through a humorous and insightful interpretation
of the Colors Exercise. This typically leads to a growing self-awareness regarding one’s behavioral style.
If all goes well, you will be able to laugh at yourself and learn more about how we each see the world as
either a Red—with a desire for action; or a Green—with a desire for order; or a Yellow—with a desire
for relating with people; or a Blue with a desire for creativity and contemplation.
This workshop is a simple way to begin the process of intentionally striving for healthy relationships with
others based on renewed respect and a keen understanding of the great value of all four behavioral
styles. In my experience such self-awareness can lead to self-correction and if all goes well even to self-
control and self-sacrifice for the good of others.
